Terra Easton Forgette - Executive Director

Terra was born and raised in the West Point area. After completing her bachelors degree in sociology at Stanford University, Terra moved back to Calaveras to work in her home community. Just out of college, Terra worked as a Program Coordinator at BMCYF, running a teen group and activities for kids.

For seven years Terra worked as the Executive Director of the Amador County Arts Council and as a grant-writer.  In 2019, she returned to the Blue Mountain Coalition for Youth and Families as the Executive Director.  Terra loves small town life and is dedicated to making West Point and the surrounding community the best possible place for her, and other families to live.  Terra is always eager to talk about ideas for our town over a cup of coffee.

Naomi Bastian

Naomi Bastian - Program Coordinator

Naomi is joining the BMCYF team with a background in nonprofit education and program development. Prior to landing at BMCYF, Naomi spent several years as a naturalist at the Coloma Outdoor Discovery School, where she taught California History to fourth graders (and wore Gold Rush era period clothing everyday!) She fell in love with nonprofit work while developing and leading programs for Sacramento nonprofit Sierra Nevada Journeys, where she coordinated and led wilderness trips for Bay Area high school students, and facilitated outdoor science programs in elementary and middle schools throughout the Sacramento area. Naomi has a deep love for all of the Sierra Nevada Foothill communities she has been part of, and feels honored to be welcomed into West Point's close-knit community with open arms. She loves having meaningful conversations over coffee, jumping into cold mountain lakes, and taking long walks with her dog.

Melissa Pfalzgraf

Melissa Pfalzgraf - Blue Mountain Center Cook

Melissa’s enthusiasm for food began in elementary school as the holiday baker for her family.  This interest in food grew into an interest in health, while working at multiple health food stores.  She completed a certificate in Nutrition Education at Bauman College in Berkeley.  Since then, Melissa has lived and worked on 7 different farms throughout California, learning all about growing, harvesting, storing and preparing local, fresh food.

For over 4 years, Melissa has been so happy to be the Community Cook at BMCYF, utilizing the abundant fresh produce from the West Point community garden.  She looks forward to meeting you at the free community dinners on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
